Meet Gabriel Seow, also known as @thisisgabirelseow on Instagram. Here he shares with us his first experiences with Arbutus and how Arbutus Bronze ARBR01GBB is an ideal choice for his first mechanical watch.
Is there any particular fashion (style) trend you follow?
Not really. I do believe in looking neat, tidy and formal. However, we always have a side of us we want to show. Fashion is also about exploring what works and what does not work for you. I do follow some trends like street wear, athleisure and I tend to fall back on the older trends like the 80’s.
What do you like about your Arbutus watch?
Subtle. The irony of it is that it is gold. However, the gold bezel does not stand out and nothing usually goes wrong when it is paired with black. Contrary to what others might say, I believe this watch is versatile and can be matched with a lot of fashion style. One does not have to spend a lot to look good. Arbutus is definitely an affordable watch for anybody that likes to dress up and look their best.
How would you style with an Arbutus watch?
I think an obvious fashion style would be formal wear due to the colour and the style of the watch. Because I like to challenge the norm sometimes, I tend to wear it with street wear. I think a lot of times, I try to match accessories and clothes from 2 different styles in an effortless way. Because of its versatility, I believe it can be worn as both a weekday and weekend fashion. Put on a white linen shirt, swim shorts, a weekend bag and an Arbutus watch. You are good to go.
