Start of Concrete Everything:

It all started off as a part-time hobby and the desire to create new things. As I am also working in the corporate world, everything needs to go through stringent approvals. This hobby allowed me to have the freedom to do what I want.

Changing Society:

We run public workshops for our clients to create art pieces. Through creating art, it helps to overcome mental hurdles by teaching clients to open up and understand that they can do anything that they set their minds to.

Concrete:

It came to me when I was at my parents place thinking of a material to work with. Initially I was considering wood or leather, but those materials were difficult to access and also required specialized tools to work with. Quite by chance, I came across concrete at my home and found it interesting and easy to work with.

Simplicity:

I have no particular style. I follow Pinterest and get inspired by things I see. It also involves a lot of trial and error. When I have creative blocks, i don't let it bother me too much. When i work, sometimes my mind drifts away. This helps to clear the creative block and allows me to come up with solutions.

Representation of watch:

A watch is utilitarian to compliment your life. It keeps track of your time and schedule. Aside from being just a functional piece, a watch reflects a lot about a person and defines person's character. An analogue watch, such as Claude Bernard, looks more sophisticated and mature while a digital watch looks more casual. Claude Bernard’s designs are classic and modern.

Time to an Artist:

As I have a day job, it is about making the most out of time. This requires me to juggle and prioritize my family, work and business as I cherish all those moments.

Future Goals:

I am considering running my business full time. When you go to an office everyday, life becomes monotonous and passes by quickly. You question yourself on the value of working in the corporate world. It’s different running your own business and spending time doing something you are passionate about. When my clients like my work, it makes me feel appreciated and satisfied, it lets me feel like I am not alone in this passion. In the corporate world, your career ends when you stop working. However, when you run your own business, you are creating something and adapting to the ever-changing environment. It is more fulfilling to see your own business grow, rather than a career which ends.
