The History of Vulcain
Vulcain, a brand with 163 years of history and experience in the field is one of the undisputed leaders in the watch industry and one of the specialists in the production of mechanical alarm watches.
Vulcain started out specializing in pocket watches before branching out into wristwatches for military use during World War 2. Vulcain is well known for its Cricket Alarm, and the story behind it was that a member of the company did some research on ways to overcome obstacles associated with the alarm function of the watch back in 1942. The same member then took another 5 years to perfect how the alarm would carry noise similar to a cricket. In 1947, the Cricket Alarm was born.
The name “President’s Watch” came about after Harry S Trueman, the 33rd President of the United States of America was presented with a 14k gold version of the Vulcain Cricket and ever since then, Vulcain is being connected with the White House and got the name “President’s Watch”.

The Vulcain Golden Voice is a smaller version of the Vulcain Cricket made for females, it has the same iconic cricket alarm and its membrane is made of gold that’s why the timepiece is called Golden Voice. There are various different designs in this collection, each piece has a different dial and it makes the design more unique and special. This piece here features a yellow mother of pearl dial which resembles an egg and there is another piece that has a red mother of pearl dial which looks like a beautiful sunrise.
The next piece is unlike any other pieces found in Vulcain. Instead of the usual Leather or Stainless Steel strap, The Vulcain Diver X-Treme has a rubber strap that resembles the tyre. This piece also has a double membrane case back for the extra loud alarm effect. This timepiece from Vulcain screams durability and toughness which is perfect for those who is an outdoor person. The next piece is the Vulcain Tonneau Millesime 1928. Unlike their other watches, this collection features a curved squared face for its watches.
