The Dornier DoX was the largest seaplane ever built, a vision turned into reality. Its creator, Claude Dornier, was a man ahead of his time with his most ambitious project being the construction of the imposing Dornier Do.X, a large seaplane that could be compared to a real flying ship.
Aiming to pay homage to Dornier's fame with a chronograph, Irén Dornier, Claude's granddaughter and airline owner, turned to Hanhart, a pioneer in creating stop watches. The collaboration gave rise to an exclusive pilot's chronograph, whose newly developed technical perfection corresponded to Claude Dornier's idea of the seaplane. Perfect readability, clearly structured dial and separate measurement of the remaining flight time to guarantee the exact execution of landing operations. Its design of the current version, which faithfully reproduces the original, is also unique.
